This undertaking is the result of a potentially sisyphean battle against mediocrity. We understand the importance and appreciate the refinement of carefully made tools and follow such an approach in our production.
While it is also possible to make high quality products in other parts of the world, considering our location and other factors we have decided to use entirely European parts and production*.
While European production does not guarantee quality, The single market, shared culture, proximity of suppliers, ease of travel and transport make it easier to build strong relationships, communicate, and find solutions to produce the best products possible.
The castings are produced in Sweden and machined in Germany. The spindles and nuts are made in Germany, and the other machined parts are produced in France, Italy, or Norway. The standard components, as much as possible, are also of European origin.
Gallicchio & Rickert AS is based in Norway and France, provides engineering consulting services, and produces fine tools in collaboration with companies around Europe.
*Currently there is a Japanese made spindle lock nut and an INA AC bearing from India while everything else is made in Europe.
